African dance is a kinetic interpretation of emotion, color, movement and story telling. It is quite beautiful to watch and experience. Similar to other cultures, African dances tell stories through the movements of the dancers. The various movements can be emotionally interpreted and that emotion can be translated into color. This is what I see as this dancer is telling her story. I used orange to accentuate the intense passion of the dance. Her body position alludes to a calm dance. Her eyes are closed because she is totally immersed in the moment.
